Here’s What we Accomplished:


Optimization

— switched her email delivery address from an ‘@gmail.com’ account to her websites official email address. Helps to prove the credibility of the emails and improve deliverability

— Implemented a double opt in process. Ensures that all new subscribers are active and increases the chances of emails reaching inbox instead of spam or promotions


Automations

— Set up a welcome automation. After new subscribers confirm their subscription to the list, they receive a welcome email introducing the client and her business. Also gives the subscriber the option to learn more about the client’s area of expertise through a 5 day email nurture series

— 5 Day Email Nurture Series: Client wanted an easy way to share 5 day series with new and current subscribers. Suggested an automation. In welcome email, subs could opt into 5 day series. Receive 6 emails over 6 days (welcome plus 5 days). End goal, to get subs to schedule a consultation


Drive Traffic

Client had to pivot last year because of COVID. Spent about one year getting new training and developing a new arm of her practice. Started a new website for the practice and wanted to drive traffic to the site. First thought was to start with contacts she already had. Goal was to send an email blast explaining changes to practice and introduce new website. Completely cold subscribers. Hadn’t sent any emails yet.


Results:


50% open rate

7% unsubscribe rate (cold subscribers)

11% click rate 

25% click through rate = Website visitors conversion

5 day series conversion (based on opens) = 4.5%


Icing on the cake

Coached her on email content

— framework for future email content

—significantly improved 5 day series, made it more efficient, easier to digest, added personality and personal perspective (proof of transformation)

Tags

—created pages to manage current and new subscribers and the flow of automations

Convertkit coaching

—wasn’t really interested in learning ALL bells and whistles. But coached her on the essentials of her automations, manually adding subs and sending broadcasts.
